What kinds of exterior cleaning, painting, staining, and concrete coating projects do you handle?

We handle a wide range of residential and commercial property-surface projects, including exterior cleaning, roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, house washing, building washing, interior and exterior painting, staining, concrete coatings, polished concrete, overlays, and concrete sealing. Our work is centered on helping protect surfaces, improve appearance, and extend the life of the property.

What areas do you serve in East Tennessee and the Upper Cumberland?

We serve East Tennesse—primarily the areas around Crossville, Cookeville, and Knoxville, generally within about 60 minutes of each location.

For larger commercial projects, we’re able to travel farther depending on the scope of work.

Do you work on both residential and commercial properties?

Yes, we do. We work on both homes and businesses, and our services are built to support residential, commercial, and certain industrial-type environments depending on the project.

What types of businesses and industries do you serve?

We work with a wide range of businesses and facilities, including retail, restaurants, gas stations, public buildings, churches, event venues, libraries, and other commercial properties. Our team is set up to serve both customer-facing spaces and more functional commercial environments.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry workers’ comp on all employees and $4 million in insurance to help protect both our team and your property.

What precautions do you take to protect my property while work is being done?

We take care in how we work, from using soft washing on delicate surfaces to selecting materials and methods that fit the property. We also keep clean, professional job sites and approach every project with respect for the customer’s property.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. We offer free, no-obligation estimates.

What can I expect during the estimate process?

Our process starts with an onsite inspection. From there, we provide a free estimate, and once the project is approved, we move into scheduling.

How far in advance should I schedule a project?

That depends on the season and the type of work. Exterior cleaning and painting often fill up faster during busy months, so it is best to reach out early if you already have a project in mind.

Can you help me figure out which service makes the most sense for my property?

Absolutley. Part of our job is helping you sort through the options and choose the right service for the condition of the property, the surface type, and the result they want. We want people to feel informed and comfortable, not pressured.

Exterior Cleaning Questions

What exterior cleaning services do you offer?

Our exterior cleaning services include pressure washing, soft washing, house washing, roof cleaning, building and storefront washing, deck and fence cleaning, hardscape cleaning, gutter cleaning, rust removal, graffiti removal, and related surface cleaning work.

What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

Pressure washing uses stronger pressure for harder surfaces such as concrete and driveways. Soft washing uses much lower pressure and is better for more delicate surfaces that need a gentler approach. Selk treats 1299 PSI and under as soft washing.

How do I know whether my property needs pressure washing or soft washing?

It comes down to the surface and the kind of buildup being removed. Hard concrete and similar surfaces often call for pressure washing, while siding, roofs, and other more delicate materials are better candidates for soft washing or non-pressure cleaning.

Can pressure washing damage siding, roofs, wood, or other surfaces?

Yes, the wrong method can cause damage. That is why surface selection matters. Some materials should be soft washed or cleaned with a dedicated low-pressure system instead of being hit with high pressure.

Will exterior cleaning help protect my property as well as improve appearance?

Yes. Exterior cleaning is about more than appearance. It helps remove buildup that can shorten the life of surfaces, and it can make ongoing maintenance easier while protecting your investment over time.

Do you clean roofs, gutters, driveways, patios, pavers, decks, and fences?

Yes. We clean all of those surfaces, along with retaining walls, walkways, outdoor living areas, and a range of commercial exterior surfaces.

Do you offer gutter guard installation?

Yes. We offer gutter guard installation along with gutter cleaning services.

Do you offer exterior cleaning for commercial buildings, storefronts, and other business properties?

Yes. We clean commercial buildings, storefronts, parking lots, garages, signs, awnings, and other business-facing surfaces.

How often should I have my home or building professionally cleaned?

That depends on the surface, the amount of shade and moisture around the property, and how quickly dirt, algae, or mildew build up. Many properties benefit from regular cleaning before buildup turns into a larger maintenance issue.

How much does it cost to wash the exterior of a house?

Pricing depends on the size of the home, the surfaces being cleaned, the level of buildup, and how accessible the property is. The best way to get an accurate number is through an onsite estimate, where we can look at the house and recommend the right approach.

How often should the exterior of a house be cleaned?

For many homes, once a year is a good baseline. Homes with more shade, more moisture, or faster organic growth may need to be cleaned more often to stay ahead of staining and surface wear.

Painting & Staining Questions

What painting and staining services do you offer?

We offer interior painting, exterior painting, and staining services for a range of residential and commercial surfaces. Our painting and staining work is built around proper preparation, clean workmanship, and long-term results.

Do you provide both interior and exterior painting?

Yes. We provide both interior and exterior painting.

Do you provide interior and exterior painting for commercial properties?

Yes. We provide interior and exterior painting for commercial properties as well as residential ones.

What surfaces do you stain?

We stain a range of wood surfaces, including decks, fences, docks, gazebos, log-style wood surfaces, and other exterior wood features that need protection and a refreshed appearance.

Can you make repairs to a deck before staining or as part of the deck restoration process?

Yes. If a deck needs repair work as part of the restoration process, we can address that before moving into staining. Good staining work starts with a deck that is clean, sound, and ready to receive the finish.

How do you prepare surfaces before painting or staining?

Preparation is a big part of doing the job right. Our painting and staining process includes surface cleaning, preparation, priming when needed, and thorough cleanup.

How long will an exterior paint or stain job last?

That depends on the surface, the exposure to weather, and the product system being used. A properly prepared and properly applied job will hold up much better and provide stronger long-term value than work that is rushed or underprepared.

Do you help with color selection or finish choices?

Yes. Our painting and staining services include color consultation so customers can make a confident decision about the look they want.

Concrete Coatings & Sealing Questions

What types of concrete coatings do you offer?

We offer flake coatings, neat floors, stained concrete floors, quartz systems, metallic systems, polished concrete, and overlay options such as faux wood, stone-look, and broom-swept finishes.

How do I know which concrete coating is right for my space?

That depends on how the space will be used, how much traffic it gets, the kind of look you want, and whether slip resistance, easy cleanup, or durability is the bigger priority. We help customers sort through those factors and choose the option that makes the most sense for the project.

What is the difference between concrete coatings, epoxy flooring, and polished concrete?

Concrete coatings is the broader category. Epoxy is one type of material used within that category, but it is not the only one. Polished concrete is a different finish process that refines the existing slab rather than building a coating system over it.

What kinds of residential, commercial, and industrial spaces are concrete coatings good for?

Concrete coatings work well in garages, basements, utility areas, patios, walkways, pool decks, retail spaces, offices, bathrooms, locker rooms, fire halls, and other commercial or industrial environments that need durability, easier upkeep, and a better-looking floor.

How durable are your concrete coating systems?

Our concrete coating systems are built for long-term performance. They are designed to hold up to real use while also improving appearance and making maintenance easier. Some systems are also renewable with a new top coat down the road.

What types of concrete, paver, and aggregate surfaces do you seal?

We seal a range of surfaces, including broom-swept concrete, stamped concrete, decorative concrete coatings, exposed aggregate, and paver surfaces. These sealing systems are used on areas such as driveways, sidewalks, and pathways to add protection and help the surface hold its appearance longer.
